O GIVE thanks unto the LORD, for he is gracious; * because his mercy endureth for ever.
 
Let Israel now confess that he is gracious, * and that his mercy endureth for ever.
 
Let the house of Aaron now confess, * that his mercy endureth for ever.
 
Yea, let them now that fear the LORD confess, * that his mercy endureth for ever.
 
I called upon the LORD in trouble; * and the LORD heard me at large.
 
The LORD is on my side; * I will not fear what man doeth unto me.
 
The LORD taketh my part with them that help me; * therefore shall I see my desire upon mine enemies.
 
It is better to trust in the LORD, * than to put any confidence in man.

All nations compassed me round about; * but in the Name of the LORD will I destroy them.

Thou hast thrust sore at me, that I might fall; * but the LORD was my help.
 
The LORD is my strength, and my song; * and is become my salvation.
 
The voice of joy and health is in the dwellings of the righteous; * the right hand of the LORD bringeth mighty things to pass.

I shall not die, but live, * and declare the works of the LORD.
 
The LORD hath chastened and corrected me; * but he hath not given me over unto death.
 
Open me the gates of righteousness, * that I may go into them, and give thanks unto the LORD.

The same stone which the builders refused, * is become the head-stone in the corner.
 
This is the LORD'S doing, * and it is marvellous in our eyes.
 
This is the day which the LORD hath made; * we will rejoice and be glad in it.
 
Help me now, O LORD: * O LORD, send us now prosperity.
 
Blessed be he that cometh in the Name of the LORD: * we have wished you good luck, we that are of the house of the LORD.
 
God is the LORD, who hath showed us light: * bind the sacrifice with cords, yea, even unto the horns of the altar.
 
Thou art my God, and I will thank thee; * thou art my God, and I will praise thee.

Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool. A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary. O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters. Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

GRANT, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that we, who for our evil deeds do worthily deserve to be punished, by the comfort of thy grace may mercifully be relieved; through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, who hatest nothing that thou hast made, and dost forgive the sins of all those who are penitent; Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of thee, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
