Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my

shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the
Father seeketh such to worship him. St. John iv. 23.

Domine, quis habitabit?
LORD, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle?
* or who shall rest upon thy holy hill?
Even he that leadeth an uncorrupt life,
* and doeth the thing which is right, and speaketh the
truth from his heart.
He that hath used no deceit in his tongue,
nor done evil to his neighbour,
* and hath not slandered his neighbour.
He that setteth not by himself, but is
lowly in his own eyes,
* and maketh much of them that fear the LORD.
He that sweareth unto his neighbour,
and disappointeth him not,

Paratum cor meum.
O GOD, my heart is ready, my heart is ready;
* I will sing, and give praise with the best member that I have.
Awake, thou lute and harp;
* I myself will awake right early.
I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the peoples;
* I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
For thy mercy is greater than the heavens,
* and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

The First Lesson
Micah 4:1-7
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be
established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto
it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the
house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law
shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people,
and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into
pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. But
they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the
mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it. For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and

The Second Lesson
Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not
his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that
condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God,
who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are
killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more
than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any
other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

redeemed his people;

The Apostles' Creed.
I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:

crucified, dead, and buried: He descended into hell; The third day he

from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for

The Collect for the Day
Ascension Day
GRANT, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that like as
we do believe thy only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ
to have ascended into the heavens; so we may also
in heart and mind thither ascend, and with him continually
dwell, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy
Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.
A Collect for Peace.
O GOD, who art the author of peace and lover of concord,
in knowledge of whom standeth our eternal life, whose service
is perfect freedom; Defend us thy humble servants in all assaults
of our enemies; that we, surely trusting in thy defence, may not
fear the power of any adversaries, through the might of Jesus Christ
our Lord. Amen.
A Collect for Grace.
O Lord, our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God,
who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day; Defend
us in the same with thy mighty power; and grant that this day
we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger; but
that all our doings, being ordered by thy governance, may be
righteous in thy sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for the Clergy and People.
Almighty and everlasting God, from whom cometh every good and perfect
gift; Send down upon our Bishops, and other Clergy, and upon the
Congregations committed to their charge, the healthful Spirit of thy
grace; and, that they may truly please thee, pour upon them the continual
dew of thy blessing. Grant this, O Lord, for the honour of our Advocate
and Mediator, Jesus Christ. Amen.
A Prayer for All Conditions of Men.
O God, the Creator and Preserver of all mankind, we humbly beseech thee
for all sorts and conditions of men; that thou wouldest be pleased to
make thy ways known unto them, thy saving health unto all nations. More
especially we pray for thy holy Church universal; that it may be so
guided and governed by thy good Spirit, that all who profess and call
themselves Christians may be led into the way of truth, and hold the
faith in unity of spirit, in the bond of peace, and in righteousness of
life. Finally, we commend to thy fatherly goodness all those who are any
ways afflicted, or distressed, in mind, body, or estate; [* especially
those for whom our prayers are desired;] that it may please thee to
comfort and relieve them, according to their several necessities; giving
them patience under their sufferings, and a happy issue out of all their
